Chief Secretary SK Joshi today sought a report in week days from the officials on the facilities and infrastructure to be provided for double bed room housing facility and colonies. During a review meeting at Secretariat here, Joshi asked the officials to make field level visits to the areas wherein in the housing facility works are going on. Speed up the works and ensure quality and give complete details of the housing facility in 109 localities he said. As many as 1 lakh units of double bedroom houses are being constructed by GHMC in the city and the works should be completed as per norms of town planning and schedule. Prepare proposals area wise he said and asked to provide every facility including roads, water, power, fire, drainage, greenery, grounds and police stations in Hyderabad and Cyberabad limits and others should be provided with a plan of action for the housing facility for the poor. The Chief Secretary also instructed to compile data and send to SLBC and other departments on the new banks and ATMs, educational institutions, health centers, internet connectivity, sports facility and Anganwadi centers which need to be set up.(NSS)
