Deputy Chief Minister Mahamood Ali today urged the Centre to give top priority to repatriate those Indians stranded in Saudi Arabia for quite some months. In a letter addressed to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Mahamood Ali urged her to prevail upon the serious situation and make efforts to get them back to home state. About 30 per cent of the workers total 9000 workers stranded in Saudi are from Telangana and left unpaid for 7-8 months. Since the Centre of their dire straits urgent steps have to be initiated to help them get food, shelter and salaries he urged. (NSS)
