Hyderabad: Congress senior leader and former Union minister Renuka Choudhary today expressed her dissatisfaction on the first list of Congress candidates released by the party today.
Speaking to mediapersons here today, Renuka Choudhary said she failed to understand as who were behind the formation of the first list of party candidates for the ensuing December 7 Assembly elections in the State. She clarified that there was no proportionate weightage to the social groups in the list. She also observed that giving tickets to “parachute” candidates was atrocious.
Renuka also expressed her dismay over not giving even a single seat to the Kamma community and absence of Ponnala Laxmaiah’s name in the list. The effect of the list of Congress candidates would be revealed on the date of counting of votes on December 11, she said, adding that she would spare no efforts for the victory of Congress party.
