Renuka chides Jagan; Asks Vijayamma not to support her erring son

Lashing out at the YSRCP Chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy for stating that his arrest was a political conspiracy, AICC official spokesperson and Rajya Sabha member Renuka Chowdhary has said that Congress party would have protected its ministers and officials if the Law was in the hands of the Congress party.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Renuka has given advises to the YSRCP honorary president YS Vijayamma and said that it was not correct to the latter to support her son Jagan at this juncture. Vijayamma has to own the responsibility as a mother but not to support her son’s criminal history, Renuka said. She said that many had become scapegoats for the sake of a single person (Jagan).

Asked as to how the high command had made the late Dr YSR as chief minister, Renuka said that every one believes a person and in the same manner the high command made Dr YSR as the chief minister of the State. It was a good chance to Jagan to prove his sincerity. Many had become culprits with a mistake committed by a single person (Jagan). A falsehood never becomes a truth if chanted the falsehood again and again, Renuka said. She questioned YSRCP leaders whether to apply the Law on Jagan, who involved in wrong-doings, or not. Renuka said that the Congress party protected Dr YSR for 30 years and supported for his growth expecting that he will work as an able chief minister and hence the high command made him chief minister. She said that the real fact will come out on some day.

Renuka said that it was not Congress party’s weakness that understanding of Vijayamma’s talk as it had come from grief. She made it clear that Jagan’s arrest was not a political conspiracy and the CBI detained Jagan with the evidences only. She said that it was not correct to Vijayamma to accuse the Congress leaders as the CBI was investigating Jagan.

When asked as to how the Chief Minister will say that Mopidevi Venkataramana Rao was an innocent person, Renuka said that the Chief Minister might have said that believing in Mopidevi, who worked in his Cabinet. (NSS)
