Rentals of Waqf properties revised, 60 lakh revenue expected monthly

A 5-member committee comprising of the experts has been constituted to revise the rentals of Waqf Board institutions. A committee comprising of ex-servicemen enhanced the rentals of more than 300 tenants and increased the monthly income of Waqf Board to 12 lakh. Mr. E Ismail Retd. District and Session Judge and former member of Human Rights Commission, is the chairman of the committee while Mr. Yousuf Shareef (IFS) Retd. Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, Mr. Mazharuddin Engineer in Chief Retd R&B, Mr. Ziauddin Director HMDA (Retd.) and Mr. Mohammed Azmatullah Khan DSP (Retd.) are the committee members. The committee has increased the rents of Nabi Khana Maulvi Akber and other Waqf institutions after inspection. It is expected that Waqf Board will earn Rs. 60 lakh per month through the enhanced rents.
