YSRCP MLA R K Roja today demanded that the Andhra Pradesh government render justice to the victims of Bejawada “call money sex racket” by allowing discussion in the Legislative Assembly on Thursday.
The winter session of the Assembly commenced on Thursday and the House was adjourned twice amidst unruly scenes. Later the House was adjourned to Friday. Speaking at the Assembly media point later, Roja alleged that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his Cabinet members and MLAs invested in the call money episode and hence they were maintaining silence in this regard.
Questioning the government as to why it failed to arrest Budda Venkanna and Bode Prasad, Roja said justice would be done to the victims only when the government detained the culprits. She also alleged that ruling party leaders were the main culprits in the sex racket.
Demanding that the government track down the TDP leaders, who played pivotal roles in the “call money sex racket”, Roja said the lives of several families fell on the road. Alleging that Chandrababu Naidu has no pain even as several women were facing severe troubles, Roja said the employees and students were afraid of going to offices and colleges due to call money sex racket. Lashing out at Chandrababu Naidu, Roja alleged that the CM left the Vanajakshi and Rishitheshwari cases to the wind. She reiterated that Chandrababu Naidu was trying to make the call money sex racket similar to the above said cases.
YSRCP another MLA Gouru Charitha Reddy alleged that the government was extending support to the call money sex racket culprits and demanded that the government arrest the TDP leaders who have links with the case immediately. (NSS)
