Hyderabad, March 21 (Siasat News): Islam does not permit the making of idols and its installation. Telangana Auto Drivers Joint Action Committee has urged the government that statues of three Muslim icons should be removed from Tank Bund within a month.
Mr. Mohd. Amanullah Khan, convener committee, in a statement, said that if the government failed to remove the statues within one month, Muslims will destroy the statues and will throw them into Hussein Sagar.
During the reign of NTR, the installation of the said statues had taken place. He said that to discourage the idol worship, Islam prohibits making and installation of statues or idols.
As the Seema-Andhra chief ministers were not aware of the teachings of Islam, the installations of the statues of the Muslim icons had taken place years back.
