Relocation of Secretariat has a Purpose Says KTR

I.T Minister K.T. Rama Rao today said no amount of padayatras or rallies on knees by Congress leaders would help the party to return to power in Telangana.
Reacting strongly to the Congress rally to protest against shifting of the Chest Hospital from Erragada and relocating the Secretariat there, the Minister said the Congress leaders, who were out of power since only a few months, were desperate to remain in limelight by organizing such padayatras. The Congres is a dead horse now in the State and any gimmicks or agitations would not help the party leaders to come to power, he quipped.
Rama Rao further said the TRS Government was having a concrete plan in the proposal to shift the Chest Hospital and secretariat with a clear vision for attracting investments for development of the State. Only when investments pour in, the employment opportunities would increase, he pointed out and asserted that the government was answerable only to the people in such matters.

To call “All party meet” on Secretariat ‘row’

KTR said they would call an “All-Party” meeting, if necessary, to discuss the issue. The government will discuss with all the Opposition parties. He further said the Congress chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah has to take up many such padayatras. “This is only just a ‘trailer’ and the Congress leader needs to watch much of the ‘cinema’, he said. Reacting swiftly on the Congress and terming its Padayatra as ridiculous KTR stated that the Congress leaders who are out of power for seven months are getting perturbed now The people distrusted the Congress which will be vanished out of the country in near future he remarked. Despite this the Congress leaders are still dreaming of the power, which is not possible, KTR maintained.(NSS)
