Religious scholars shun sectarian differences; attend ‘Quran Hub Conference’

Gulbarga: A grand ‘Quran Hub Conference’ was held on Sunday, August 21 at Chamber of Commerce Auditorium, Gulbarga. The conference entitled ‘Understanding of Quran through modern technology’ was jointly organised by Siasat Daily Hyderabad and Milli Services Gulbarga which aimed at creating awareness among public regarding online portal quranhub.net. Beta version of IOS application of Quranic web portal was also launched on the occasion.

The conference was held under the supervision of Managing editor Siasat Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan. As many as 713 people made online registrations while over 100 people made spot registrations. Participants were provided an ‘Arabic Learning Kit ‘by Siasat Daily, JILT and Milli Services. Scholars, intellectuals, political leaders of all sects and Manahij attended the conference.

Dr. Qamer ul Islam MLA Gulbarga, ex-minister Karnataka government, Mr. Baba Nazar Mohammed Khan Vice President Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadeeth, Karnataka and Goa, Mr. Zakir Husain city president Jamat-e-Islami Hind, Gulbarga, Maulana Jameel Ahmed Siddiqui Nizami Darul Uloom Deenia Banda Nawaz Dargah, Maulana Nazeer Ahmed Rashadi founder and secretary Madrasa Arabia, Tajweed ul Quran, Gulbarga, Maulana Mumtaz Ahmed Salafi, Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadeeth were present on the occasion.

Director Quran Hub Project and programme convenor Mr. Abu Mazhar Khalid Siddiqui gave introduction of Quran Hub and said it is a very powerful application which presently has over 50 translations of more than 10 Indian languages.
