According to a press note issued by Mr. Ghiyasuddin Babu Khan, Chairman of Hyderabad Zakat and Charitable Trust, a team of the Trust reached Assam on 30th October and started surveying the victims of communal riots. The team is distributing tokens to the victims. Survey work would be completed by the end of the first week of November. After the survey, 5, 000 winter kits worth Rs.1, 000 each would be distributed. The total value of these kits is estimated to be Rs.50 lakh.
A team of volunteers led by the trustee of FEED. Mr. Zaiuddin Nayyar will proceed to Assam in the second week of November and would distribute relief kits to the victims. Mr. Ghiyasuddin Babu Khan has thanked all those philanthropists who have contributed in this relief work.
