Jaipur, November 15: The Rajasthan High Court today quashed an order directing CBI probe against an IAS officer pertaining to endorsement of a passport verfication form by him.
Justice R S Rathore of the High Court, in January last year, had directed the CBI probe against Sanjay Dixit who is also Secretary Rajasthan Cricket Association.
Quashing the order, a Division Bench allowed him to appear before a single judge and explain to him under what circumstances he had endorsed the passport verification form of Ranjeet Singh under the Tatkal Scheme.
The Bench comprising acting Chief Justice Arun Mishra and Justice Mohammad Rafiq held the order passed by Justice Rathore against Dixit and Ranjeet as bad in law.
