Reliance mobile company fined Rs. 93000 for not providing service

Hyderabad: Consumers’ Forum of Ranga Reddy District directed Reliance mobile company to pay Rs. 93000 to its consumer, Mr. Kamal Khandelwal.

It may be mentioned that Mr. Khandelwal has deposited the required amount for international roaming calls during his visit to Dubai. He sent several emails and registered his complaint through phone calls but reliance mobile company did not take any action. He further stated that he faced a lot of difficulties in Dubai in connection with his business transactions.

Consumers’ Forum Ranga Reddy District ordered Reliance Company to pay Rs. 80000 toward damages, Rs. 10000 for making the loss and Rs. 3000 toward legal expenses.

The advocate of Reliance Communications Ltd. told that the company has decided not to challenge the verdict pronounced by consumers’ forum since the petitioner has submitted complete documentary evidence to prove the lapses of the company.

Mr. Khandelwal further told that he pleaded the case in person.
