Hyderabad, October 13: With floods creating havoc in several villages across the State, the Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has joined the relief and rehabilitation activities to help the flood victims in Krishna and Guntur districts.
A team of RIL personnel from Hyderabad, Kakinada and Vijayawada, in association with a six-member experts team of RIL from Gujarat, rendered its services in flood relief activities in the affected areas.
Under directives of RIL executive director PMS Prasad and the state Coordinator Madhava Rao, the RIL engineers offered engineering solutions to the State government officials for bridging a breach to the bund of Krishna river flood bank at Pallipalem village in Bhattiprolu mandal in Krishna district. Ministers P Subhash Chandra Bose and M Venkata Ramana appreciated the quick response and support of RIL technical experts.
Apart from sharing technical expertise, RIL’s team took up relief activity on a large scale. The RIL is providing three meals-per-day to about 2,800 flood victims at a relief camp established at NSM Public School in Vijayawada. About 40,000 kg of cattle feed was distributed in marooned villages of Repalle, Peteru, Ibrahimpatnam, Nagayalanka and surrounding villages.
