The five fishermen from Tamil Nadu, who were sentenced to death in Sri Lanka for alleged drug trafficking but set free after President Mahinda Rajapaksa pardoned them, today visited Saibaba Temple in nearby Pollachi.
The five, along with their families, offered prayers as part of their offerings to the temple, police said
Later, they proceeded to Sneham Charitable Trust in Mudalamadai and sought the blessings of Sunildas Swamiji, who according to them, had played a major role in their release, the sources said.
Emerson, Augustus, Wilson, Langlet and Prasath, who were in the prison in Sri Lanka since 2011 and facing gallows on charges of drug peddling, were released in the middle of this month.
