Hyderabad: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today appealed to Karnataka Government to release 15 TMC water form Narayanapur and Almatti reservoirs to Telangana state which fell short of waters. In a letter addressed to his Karnataka Counterpart MB Patil, Harish Rao requested that the state needs water to cater to the drinking needs of twin cities – Hyderabad, Secunderabad and fluoride affected Nalgonda district. Harish urged the irrigation minister Patil to instruct the officials to take immediate measures to release 15 TMC water from Narayanapur to Telangana which is direly need of waters. (NSS)
