Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at Habeeb Nagar police station on Friday on the report of the death of a rowdy sheeter in the police station. The angry relatives of the rowdy sheeter vandalised the police station.
According to sources, Task Force West Zone team had arrested local rowdy sheeter Abdus Sameer and his brother Abdul Kaleem 3 days ago and interrogation was on.
Family of rowdy sheeter Sameer arrived at Habeeb Nagar PS and tried to get information about him but the local police didn’t inform them about him being in the custody of task force.
Due to the unsatisfactory response of the police, the relatives of Sameer created ruckus in the police station and vandalised it. The incident sparked off tension in the area. Sameer’s relatives staged dharna in front of the police station. Locals also joined them. Later police arranged a phone call between Abdus Sameer and Abdul Kaleem and their parents.
