Hyderabad: A case of revenge has surfaced in Hyderabad where the man raped and blackmailed a 25-year-old woman for rejecting his love in in tenth class.
The 31-year old man identified as Reddypogu Ravi confessed to his crime to the Police saying he was depressed after the victim rejected him years ago when they were in tenth class and decided to take his revenge recently after learning her address.
The accused and the victim both studied in the same school at Kalvakurthy and belonged to a village in Manavapadu mandal of Mahabubnagar district.
The victim shifted to Hyderabad after getting married in 2014, she also has two children from her marriage.
The accused had been repeatedly harassing her by making calls and expressing his love but when she blocked his number, he took the other alternative and morphed some pictures to blackmail her and threatened to send them to the victim’s husband demanding Rs 2,50,000 from her.
He called the victim at a temple in Kalwakurthy, where he raped her dragging the victim into the bushes.
The victim filed the complaint with SHE Teams against the accused Ravi on 10 March.
Police have nabbed the accused and filed a case under the Nirbhaya Act, HansIndia reported.
