Hyderabad: BJP alleged that Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi, President of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) had suppressed the information in the affidavit which was submitted along with the nomination papers.
According to the report published in Telangana Today, BJP candidate for Hyderabad Lok Sabha Constituency, Mr. Bhagavanth Rao Pawar approached Returning Officer and Hyderabad Collector and lodged a complaint seeking rejection of Asaduddin Owaisi’s nomination.
He claimed that the name of Mr. Owaisi appears in 51- Rajendranagar Assembly constituency (serial no 799 in part no 401) and also in 60 Khairatabad Assembly constituency (serial no 186 in part no 25). He also alleged that Mr. Owaisi has two votes and this information was suppressed in the affidavit.
He further alleged that Mr. Owaisi did not declare anything about the allowance which he receives from Telangana State Wakf Board. Mr. Owaisi also undervalued his property which is located at Shastripuram in Rajendernagar, Mr. Pawar added.
Demanding the rejection of Akbaruddin Owaisi’s nomination, Mr. Pawar claimed that both Asaduddin Owaisi and his younger brother had filed nomination as official candidates of AIMIM which is illegal. For nominating two candidates for the same constituency, MIM’s election symbol should be withdrawn, he demanded.
