Hyderabad, October 02: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) has extended regularisation of illegal connections up to October 30. The Water Board had introduced the scheme to regularise illegal water supply and sewerage connections for consumers. Previously, last date of closure of the scheme was September 30.
During the last week of September, more than 2000 consumers have regularised their connections. Local MLAs and public representatives have requested the minister for municipal administration and urban development, Anam Ramnarayana Reddy to extend the last date as many consumers with illegal connections were willing to regularise their connections.
Seeing consumer response and with directions of Ramnarayana Reddy, the Water Board has extended the scheme by another one month. There will not be any further extension and all consumers having illegal connections should avail this opportunity.
