Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Sunday said there has always been and shall continue to be a regular continuous interaction between the central bank and the government, adding that all issues which concern both the institutions are regularly discussed.
“There has always been and shall continue to be a regular continuous interaction between the central bank and the government. All issues which concern both our institutions are regularly discussed. We have complete free and frank discussions, therefore there is no question of disconnect between bank and Govt,” Jaitley said at a media interaction with RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan.
Jaitley said as far as proposals in the Finance bill were concerned, they are before the Parliament and he wouldn’t comment at this stage.
“As far as the proposals in finance bill are concerned, they are before Parliament; some of them have been discussed earlier. Proposals by RBI regarding finance bill in Parliament, I don’t wish to comment at this stage. But our discussions and getting the opinions and suggestions of RBI always continue. They were there before the budget and they continue after the budget,” he added. (ANI)
