Regional parties will play key role at Centre, FF will be alternative to Congress, BJP: KTR

Hyderabad: Stating that Telangana will set an example of showing a qualitative direction at national politics, TRS working president KT Rama Rao today fired a salvo stating that the Telugu Desam may be diminished and hinted at the YCP will emerge victorious in Andhra Pradesh after Lok Sabha polls in 2019. The regional parties will be forging an alliance and the TRS will clinch that opportunity to give an alternative at the Centre for qualitative change, he said, adding that the TRS will win 16 Lok Sabha seats in the ensuing Parliament elections and will have its say at the Centre by playing a key role in the next Union government.

Talking to mediapersons during “Meet-the-Press” at the Press Club here, the second in command in the TRS said the nation will see an alternative in the next Lok Sabha polls and form government against the Congress and the BJP at the Centre. Refusing to work with TD Chief in the near future, KTR said the regional parties in Telugu States other than the TD, will come together to form an alternative. He also asserted that the third front will emerge victorious at the Centre as politics will see sweeping changes by then.

The TRS will not work with the Congress, TDP and the BJP and will have truck with other like-minded parties, he asserted. “Naidu was playing foul with the people and snapped ties with the BJP and now trying to strengthen himself in future politics at national level. The people will see the TRS role in AP politics soon and I thank the TRS supremo for making me working president of the party”, he said.

However TRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was doing politics for the national welfare and development of people of the country, he remarked. The TD chief was going with the Congress and the federal front of the TRS will be detached with the Congress and the BJP, he said. KTR said the regional parties will have its role at the national level after the Lok Sabha polls to provide an alternative government at the Centre for qualitative change. He also slammed Chandrababu Naidu for using yellow media and carrying out misinformation campaign against the TRS, which won the poll battle. KTR said he will resolve all the pending issues of the journalists, including house-sites, health cards and others.
