Refusal of permission for Telangana March is unjust-TPF

A delegation of the leaders of Telangana Praja Front met Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy, C.M. of A.P. and presented a memorandum to him demanding withdrawal of all the cases registered against Telangana leaders and students during the Telangana agitation last year.

Former President of Telangana Praja Front, Mr. Gaddar led the delegation. It included present President, Prof. Bhoomaiah, Mr. M.ved Kumar, Vice President, Mr. Sanaullah Khan, General Secretary, Ms. Devendra, Mr. Poojari Narasing Rao, and others.

The delegation informed the C.M. that students’ organizations supporting Telangana have organized “Chalo Secretariat” programme and Telangana Political Joint Action Committee has given a call for “Chalo Hyderabad March” on 30th September. They complained that police has not given permission to these programmes which is unjust.

It is our democratic right to protest. Police is adopting a hostile attitude and arresting the agitators. The leaders of Telangana Praja front declared the attitude of the Govt. of A.P. as undemocratic.

Wakf Board is responsible for destroying wakf lands-Aziz Pasha

It is necessary to convert A.P. State Wakf Board into Wakf Commisonerate in order to protect more than four lakh acres of wakf land. Former Rajya Sabha M.P., Mr. Aziz Pasha stated this, in a press conference he addressed yesterday at Makhddom Bhavan. He pointed out that there are more than two lakh acres of wakf lands in Ranga Reddy District. He blamed that Wakf Board is lethargic and hence wakf properties are being damaged. He alleged that Chairman, CEO and members of Wakf Boards, barring a few, prefer their self-interests. They are mainly responsible for running wakf lands. He told that a large section of Muslims’ population is leading life below poverty line. He pointed out that despite destroying 85% of wakf lands, still 4 lakh acres of Wakf lands are protected. The correct utilization of the income of these properties can be the sources of many Welfare schemes for the benefit of the Muslims He pointed out that many Muslims in the old city are living in rented houses. Two thousand acres of land around Dargah Baba Sharfuddin can provide relief to many Muslims.
