Reforms in Aneesul Ghuraba orphanage under consideration

Maulana Syed Ghulam Afzal Biyabani, Chairman of A.P. State Muslim Wakf Board told that reforms on a large scale in the administration of Aneesul-Ghuraba orphanage are under the active consideration of the board. A comprehensive programme would be prepared for the welfare and progress of orphan children of this organization.

Talking to the news reporter of Siasat, he told that it is not true that the administration of this organization has been ruined after entrusting its responsibility to Wakf Board. The fact is that so long as this institution was under the control of the Dept. of Endowment, there was no one to take care of its administration. He pointed out that after taking charge of Wakf Board, he visited this institution a number of times.

The children were getting education in an aided educational institution. They were admitted in Rosedale School which is a very reputed institution. Uniforms were supplied to them and transport arrangements were made Self Confidence of the students was boosted by spending some time with them. Whenever there was any complaint, attempts were made to resolve the matters.

The Chairman told that when the incident of theft of rise by an employee came to limelight, the entire staff was changed. Disciplinary action against the employees has also been initated. Action has also been started against the defaulting tenants of this property.

Mr. Abdul Mateen, Mr. Akber Mahmood have been deputed from Wakf Board. He assured that the fixed deposits of this institution are safe. He clarified that on certain occasions, many goats used to be received. Since adequate cold storage facilities were not available, excess meat was distributed to Deeni Madrasas. He told that Wakf Board has shortage of staff. Recruitments could not be made due to political interventions. The work of the Board has enormously increased. More than 15,000 cases are pending in various courts.

He also told that the complaints of misappropriation of funds are also being looked into. He said that he is considering to constitute a review committee to monitor the affairs of this institution.
