New Delhi: Refined soya oil prices were up 0.55 per cent to Rs 616.45 per 10 kg in futures market today, supported by pick up in domestic demand and restricted supplies from growing regions, as traders built up fresh positions.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month March rose by Rs 3.40 or 0.55 per cent to Rs 616.45 per 10 kg with an open interest of 65,120 lots.
On similar lines, the oil for delivery in February contract traded higher by Rs 2.45 or 0.40 per cent to Rs 610.70 per 10 kg in 11,650 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade to upsurge in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from the growing regions.
