Reddy jubilant over Andhra HC order

Bellary, December 12: Ecstatic over the Andhra Pradesh High court order staying the order for closing six mining companies in AP, Minister G Janardhan Reddy said on Friday that it was a partial victory over the false allegations of illegal mining. He was speaking to reporters at his house ‘Kuteera’ on Friday.

Due to false allegations, the Congress government in AP, on the recommendation of Central Empowered Committee (CEC) report, had ordered the closure of six mining companies, including Obalapuram Mining Company (OMC) owned by him. Now with the twomember bench of High Court giving stay orders, we have secured a partial win over our opponents, he said. He also accused the opposition parties, including the Congress, JD(S) in Karnataka and Telugu Desam in Andhra Pradesh, of being involved in false propaganda.

He hinted that the activities at OMC would be resumed with immediate effect.

We respect the court orders and will abide by it, he added.
