New Delhi: Police have arrested a 42-year-old man and seized red sanders wood worth Rs 1.5 crore from him in North-East Delhi’s Burari area.
Pappu, resident of Burari, was arrested near Amrit Vihar bus stand while he was transporting the red sanders wood weighing 790 kg yesterday, said Vijay Singh, DCP of North-West Delhi.
Police further seized 1,755 kg of red sanders from a godown rented by him in Laxmi Vihar area at Shankarpura Road, Burari.
A case was registered and a probe is on to nab Pappu’s accomplices, Singh said.
