Hyderabad: Dy. CM of Telangana State, Mr. K. Sri Hari told that very soon Telangana State Public Service Commission would make recruitments to fill up the vacant post of the teachers. He further told that the services of Contract Lecturers working in the Degree Colleges will also be regularized. He appealed to the principals of the degree colleges to play a key role. Stressing the need for taking action, Mr. Sri Hari told that if the principals do not take interest, all the schemes of the Govt. would fail. He mentioned that Mr. KCR is serious about raising the quality of education in colleges. He told that out of 130 Govt. degree colleges, 63 degree colleges could not submit applications to National Accreditation Council. Taking this into consideration, Govt. decided to release Rs. 2.25 crore for each degree college for providing minimum basic amenities. After this, these degree colleges can file their applications for accreditation in 2017 to NAC. He further informed that Govt. released Rs. 282 crore under the RUSA. He instructed the principals of degree colleges to establish Skill and Knowledge center in each degree college. He told that arrangements are being made to introduce biometric system, installation of CCTV, Library and Laboratory facilities in degree colleges.
