The Role
To support accounting tasks and requirements in their relevant area of responsibility (including accounts payables, accounts receivables, fixed assets, inventory and general ledgers & financial reporting) in line with established policies and procedures and defined time scale
Accounting Activities and Reporting
Performs accounting procedures related but not limited to:
•General ledger accounts management, transaction posting and control
•AR / AP transaction posting and control
•Processing / reviewing journal vouchers
•GL / Sub ledger reconciliations
•Month-end procedures and reporting
•SAP transaction processing
•Management and maintenance of audit compliant information and filing
Analyses accounting data and prepares reports emanating from respective accounts function
Prepares reports, G/L accounts and compilation of company’s operating and capital budgets
Maintains records of files and movements of prime source data and documentation and maintain filing index, suitable for audit compliance
Accounting Coordination
Coordinates with all relevant departments including but not limited to Treasury / Supply Chain / Operations / Commercial / Projects / Other Finance departments to perform the required accounting matters and gather the required documentation
Supports internal and external auditors in carrying out their periodic reviews
Policies, Procedures and Controls
Follows internal control procedures, established SOPs, policies and best practices as appropriate
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
Minimum Experience:
Preferably at least 3 Years of experience in the accounts payable / accounts function in a large organization preferable in the manufacturing sector.
