A record deal of Rs. 100 Crores by My name is Khan

Mumbai, July 31: The trio banner of Bollywood “Karan Johar”, “Shahrukh Khan” and “Kajol” who have already gave a blockbuster hit to it by “Kabhi Khushi Khabhi Gum” to the moviegoers under the direction of director Karan Johar.

This time the trio is going to launch their new release “My Name Is Khan” has been bought by Fox Star Studios for an enormous Rs. 100 crores. This is the biggest deal ever for a Bollywood surpass of Rs 90 crores for Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist actor Aamir Khan starer “Ghajini” and Rs 70 crores for SRK’s “Om Shanti Om”. The movie is being co-produced by Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan with a budget of Rs 55 Crore. The movie is set against the 9/11 terror attacks and its impact on an Indian Muslim living in the US.

“My Name is Khan” is being hyped as the most awaited releases of the year. Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol will return to the silver screen together after a gap of eight long years.

It might be recalled that Shahrukh Khan’s “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” and Aamir’s “Ghajini” had clashed at the box office last year.
