Hyderabad, January 20: (Siasat News) Land grabbers had demolished the Old Qutub Shahi Mosque at Balapur on 17th January 2012. Mr. Ahmedullah, Minister of Wakfs and Minorities inspected the spot along with the Revenue Staff and police personnel. On seeing the debris of the demolished Mosque, Mr. Ahmedullah was very much aggrieved. He told that the culprits won’t be spared and severe punishment will be given to them. He said that his department will extend every possible cooperation for the reconstruction of the Mosque. He also assured that space would be provided for Graveyard also. He disclosed that there are 120 mosques in Hyderabad which are uninhabited. Wakf Baord will be instructed to Survey these Mosques and sign boards would be erected notifying the Wakf lands. A few white clad workers came before the visit of the Minister and they disappeared as soon as the Minister left the place. This means that they had come to show their faces only to the Minister.
Pahadi Shareef police produced the prime accused Saleem, Kaleem and Padnabham Reddy before the Court. Sanawar Baig and Sameer are still absconding. It is learnt from reliable sources that Sameer is maintaining regular contacts with the police.
Hitachi Machine Driver Padnabhan Reddy insisted that the work of dismantling the Mosque should not be extracted from him. He didn’t start the machine for two hours but the accused person forced him to dismantle it. It only shows that a non-Muslim cares for the sanctity of the Mosque but the Muslim culprits did not bother to demolish it. This dreadful act was completed under the supervision of Kaleemullah.
Sanawar Baig and Saleem of Dream India had made an agreement for purchasing the land attached to the Mosque.
