Hyderabad, October 07: Avoiding the solution of burning muslim issues, Govt. can’t gain the favour of muslim constructing a new Haj House. Eminent Muslim leaders of TDP, Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor, Siasat and Politburo member, Mr. Lal Jan Basha former M.P. Mr. Masquathi, MLC, Mr. N. M. Farooq, former minister, Mr. Mohammed Saleem, former Chairman, Wakf Board in a press statement reviewing the announcement of the Govt. to construct a new Haj House near airport said that instead of constructed a new Haj House, it is better to extend the old Haj House utilizing the open space available in the north and the south of the present Haj House Govt. is acquiring 10 acres of Wakf Land at a cheaper rate which is against will of Wakf. The TDP leaders advised the Govt. to reconstruct Masjid Omer Farooq within the new airport area instead of constructing a new Haj House. By constructing a new Haj House, the Govt. can’t wipe out the stains caused by demolishing the old mosque.
Haj pilgrims get better facilities in the present Haj House which is located in the heart of the city. Visitors coming to bid farewell don’t have to incur extra expenditure of going to airport. Moreover, very often, Haj flights are scheduled during night hours and sometimes in the early morning. The visitors may have to face a lot of inconvenience if the new Haj House is constructed near the airport. The old Haj House would be empty and uninhabited in the new construction takes place.
The old Haj House can’t be turned into a hotel. If the Govt. thinks that the Muslims would forget the action taken by the Govt. in allotting one thousand acres of Wakf land and the demolition of Masjid Omer Farooq, it is a false notion. The Govt. should reconstruct the mosque immediately.
