Reach an NGO is going to organize a seminar on how far the UPA succeeded in fulfilling minority promises. Social activist and convenor Reach NGO Mr. Adil Mohammed told that the seminar aims at reviewing the promises made to minorities during UPA first and UPA second and their fulfillment. He told that while UPA first and UPA second made promises to change the situation of minorities, they also set up commissions and committees but the centre put the recommendations made by those commissions and committees in cold storage.
To have a debate on the non serious attitude of central government, former special officer Sachar Committee Mr. Mohammed Zafar, MP Mr. Mohammed Adeeb, Prof. Ram Puniyani, Mr. P A Inamdar, former MP Mr. Syed Aziz Pasha and noted legal expert Mr. Shafeequr Rahman Muhajir have been invited in the proposed seminar of Reach.
The seminar aims at mounting pressure on central government to fulfill promises made to the minorities.
