The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has decided to conduct re-examination of Paper-I for Recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in Delhi Police, CAPFs and Assistant Sub-Inspectors in CISF Examination, 2016 in Computer Based Examination mode.
The re-examination will be held only for those candidates who appeared for Paper-I on 20th March, 2016. This is the maiden effort of the Commission to conduct an examination in Computer Based Mode. In this regard, Chairman of the Commission, has already written to Chief Secretaries of the respective States/UTs seeking their assistance for ensuring security arrangements around the venues for conducting the examination in a fool proof manner.
The re-examination will be conducted in two shifts per day during 4th to 6th June in Southern Region that includes Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Further, the examination will be held in 33 venues at 10 centres viz. Hyderabad in Telangana; Visakhapatnam, Kurnool, Guntur, Rajahmundry and Tirupathi in Andhra Pradesh; Chennai, Tiruchirappalli and Madurai in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
E-Admit Cards (ACs) authorising candidates to appear for the examination in respect of the Southern Region have already been posted on the Website (www.sscsr.gov.in) of Southern Regional Office of the Commission, with the facility for downloading the same by the candidates. Southern Regional office has informed this to the candidates through SMS to the phone numbers given by them in their Application Form. Candidates are requested to download their e-Admit Card without fail for taking up the examination. Candidates without e-Admit Card shall not be permitted to take up the examination.
Southern Regional Office has also uploaded Practice Test for the Computer Based Examination in its website. Candidates are advised to familiarise themselves with the Practice Test by visiting this website.
Further, a special Video Walk Through containing the Instructions to candidates for Computer Based Examination has also been posted in Southern Regional Office Website. Candidates are advised to go through the same for familiarising themselves with various activities of Computer Based Examination.
