Hyderabad, November 04: Health Minister D.L. Ravinder Reddy remarked that the Govt. scheme to provide rice at Re one a kg is not beneficial as the prices of the essential commodities are reaching the sky when C.M. had announced this scheme, T-ministers had objected that he declared this scheme without taking them into confidence.
He asked him who had demanded for the supply of subsidized rice for Re one a kg.
Mr. Reddy said that he is against this scheme. He stressed the need for the Govt. to enable the poor public to stand on their own feet and not to make them beggars. This scheme is not going to benefit the common man.
