RCA launches health study on Delma Island

Gharbiya, March 17: The Red Crescent Authority (RCA) has commenced a field study to probe real needs of the Delma Islanders for launching a comprehensive multi-facet diagnostic, curative and educational campaign.

Ordered by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region and RCA President, the health drive seeks to build a data base for prioritizing requirements and sectors.

The study, which covers 700 families, will culminate into a fully integrated programme to deliver an array of services to the targeted groups. The campaign is scheduled to get underway on April 10 and last until April 15.

The study will identify essential needs of the islanders based on the best international criteria approved by the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
