RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan is likely to arrive here on October 15.
According to informed sources, the RBI Chief is expected to hold separate meetings with Chief Secretaries of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Dr Rajiv Sharma and IYR Krishna Rao. Rajan may also participate in Bankers’ meeting on October 16. The meeting assumes significance in the wake of Telangana and AP Governments announcing 25 per cent and 20 per cent of crop loan waiver for their farmers. As pressure is being mounted on fresh loans and financial assistance, Rajan is likely to take a decision on the key issue. (NSS)
