Srinagar, January 29: As part of its platinum jubilee celebrations, the Reserve Bank of India today organised an outreach programme at village Karhama in Baramulla district in order to adopt it as a model village and provide all banking facilities to the villagers through Information Communication Technology.
J and K Agriculture Minister Ghulam Hassan Mir, who is local MLA, appreciated the efforts of RBI in reaching out to such a remote village in Kashmir to celebrate its Platinum Jubilee.
He hailed the financial inclusion through ICT solutions based on biometric parameters scheme of RBI and expressed his hope that this scheme will change the face of banking in the country in the near future and ensure more inclusive growth.
