Roseau, July 27: Powered with excellent bowling spell by spinner Abdur Razzak, Bangladesh defeated West Indies for the first time in a ODI.
Razzak claimed 4-39 to dismiss Caribbean for 194 in 43.4 overs at Windsor Park.
Bangladesh defeated host West Indies by 52 runs in the first one-day international of the three match series.
After put in to bat first, Bangladesh set a total of 246 on the board. Mohammad Ashraful scored 57, captain Shakib-al-Hasan also smashed 54 and Mahmudullah contributed 42 runs in the total.
West Indies pacer Kemar Roach was the most successful with 5-44.
Chasing a total of 247 runs, West Indies batsmen were bowled out for 194 runs. Devon Smith was the top scorer with 65 runs.
