Rayan Murder case: CBI detains 11 Class student for murder

New Delhi: The recent murder case of Ryan School students has a new twist to the case as reports are rushing in after a Class 11 student has been detained by CBI in connection with the murder of the 2 class student today.

Earlier the CBI was directed to probe the murder case by the Haryana government after nationwide outrage broke over the child’s murder and the school authorities were blamed.The CBI took over the case on September 22 to probe the murder case.

According to the sources, the boy has already confessed to the crime and the CBI decided to arrest the boy on Tuesday evening. The CBI will be filling the charge sheet on 18 November.

He allegedly murdered Pradyuman Thakur hoping to postpone the ongoing semester exams and the Parent Teacher Meeting on the school.

The CBI reportedly said the 16-year-old student used a knife as the murder weapon and later flushed it in the washroom.

Sources have also told that the senior student had a history of bad behavior and was seen with a knife inside school campus on the day of the murder.

The 16-year-old Class 11 student was reportedly the first person to inform about Pradyuman’s body in the bathroom.

Speaking to a news agency the student’s father said: “They (CBI) arrested my son last night. My son has not committed the crime, he informed gardener and teachers.”

“There was no spot of blood on my child’s clothes. He was giving the exam,” said the father.

The detained class 11 student is now suspected to have sexually assaulted the kid after watching a Pornographic clip in the morning.

The Haryana Police earlier claimed the innocent boy was sexually assaulted by the bus conductor Ashok Kumar which was followed by the child’s murder.

The 16-year-old student will now be produced before the Juvenile Justice Board around 2 pm, where the court is expected to decide whether or not the allegedly suspect is to be treated as a major or a minor as per the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.

Lawyer Sushil Tekriwal appearing for Pradyuman, said, “We want the boy to be tried as an adult…We will demand nothing less than the death penalty.”
