TDP senior leader Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy today alleged that the ruling party was indulging in distribution of money with the help of local police personnel.
Addressing the media at NTR trust bhavan here on Tuesday, Ravula accused the TRS of distributing money to lure the voters. He also urged the Election Commission to keep a strict vigil on this unholy act. He also said his party would also lodge a complaint with the Election Commission in this regard. Condemning the propaganda of IT Minister K Taraka Ramarao about the BJP-TDP combine candidate, Ravula said TRS was indulging in false propaganda fearing defeat. KTR, who was in the US, had also contested in the 2009 elections after returning home from the US, he said.
The TDP leader alleged that in the name of schemes, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was diverting funds for the ensuing GHMC elections. Ridiculing distribution of dust bins in the city, Ravula said KCR, who had lured political leaders to his pink bin, was now trying to woo public with distribution of dust bins. KCR was going on making tall promises like Rs 10,000 crore for development of slum areas, 12 bridges across the Musi river, 50 flyovers and Rs 20,000 crore for making roads signal-free. But the Chief Minister could not fulfill a single promise, he lamented. He demanded that the government release a white paper on the promises made to public by KCR before and after elections. (NSS)
