Eminent journalist, author, NDTV news anchor Ravish Kumar was at ‘Talk Journalism 2019’ event took place on 21 September 2019 at Fairmont Hotels in Jaipur.
In conversation with Sachin Kalbag, the Ramon Magsaysay awardee expressed his views on the session ‘importance of speaking truth to power.’
Advice to Girls
Interacting with entrepreneurs, Mr. Kumar said that there is no shortage of haters.
Giving a piece of advice to the female attendee at the event, Mr. Kumar asked them to beware of the youngsters who hate a particular section of the community in the society because these people who have so much of hatred can neither be good friends, lovers, husbands, and brothers.

On Media
Mr. Kumar further said that today’s TV anchors are using undemocratic and violent language and asked them to stop watching these channels that are being manipulated by the political leaders and bureaucrats to serve for their purpose.
“The media is now taking revenge from you,” he said and added that its time for the people to open up their eyes and speak what they want from media.
Article 370
Speaking on Article 370, Mr. Kumar said that one cannot feel the pain the people of Kashmir have been going through for the last 45 days.
