Rave parties becoming common in Hyderabad

Special party of deputy commissioner police west zone busted a rave party at Banjara Hills and nabbed five persons including two women and recovered cocaine and other drugs from their possession.

The arrested persons include a Ugandan national, Donald a student, who was selling the banned drug substance to the locals.

Commissioner of police Hyderabad Mr. Anurag Sharma revealed that the special team of west zone police raided a house at road no. 10, Banjara Hills where rave party was being organised. It is said that such parties have been happening in the city for the last three years.

According to sources said the youngsters were getting drugs from a Nigerian. Many youngsters were getting addicted to MDMA, which drives a person into a state of euphoria; the person experiences visual distortion after consuming it.

Those who have been arrested include Donald, B Sailesh, Murali Krishna Susheel, Shruti Glory alias Tina and Sakhi Subhramaniam Chawla while Sameer alias Sam, a Nigerian, is absconding.

Rave parties are nothing new to Hyderabad city. They have been a common feature in locations like Tolichowki, Ahmed Nagar, and Banjara Hills etc. Parents of most of the youngsters indulged in such activities, do not know what their children are upto. Majority of the youth are the children of NRIs and they spend their parents’ hard earned money on such immoral activities.
