Ration cards nullified, application for FSC from Oct. 13

All the 6.20 lakh ration cards of Hyderabad have been nullified with immediate effect. Below Poverty Line (BPL) families will have to apply for Food Security Cards (FSC) from October 13 to 20. The new cards would replace white ration cards for families below poverty line (BPL), while pink ration cards would cease to be eligible. This was told by District Collector Mukesh Kumar Meena on Friday during a press conference.

He said that the application can be made at the nearest fair price shop. Applicants should provide name, address and Aadhaar details. The district administration at mandal levels would also set up counters for issue of various certificates, including caste and income.
