Hyderabad: Researcher, critic and fiction writer Dr. Ahmed Ali Shakeel Head of the Department of Urdu, Sardar Patel College, Secunderabad was conferred upon ‘Rashtriya Vidya Guru Puraskar’ by Indian Solidarity Council, New Delhi, in recognition of his academic, literary and research services.
It must be noted that Dr. Shakeel has been associated with teaching profession and research and criticism for the past 25 years. He has so far penned down 6 books and a number of research articles.
National Integration Committee, All India Urdu Educational Committee and Urdu Academy Andhra Pradesh have also given awards to Dr. Shakeel.
