Hyderabad: On the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of the sixth Nizam of Hyderabad, Mir Mahboob Ali Khan better known as Mahboob Ali Pasha, The Deccan Heritage Trust organised photo exhibition comprising of rare photographs of Nawab Mir Mahboob Ali Khan. City dignitaries visited the exhibition organised inside Tahniyat Mahal of Chowmahalla Palace complex. Nawab Raunaq Yar Khan, the Great Grand son of Nawab Mir Mahboob Ali Khan, inaugurated the exhibition.
Mr. Mohammed Safiullah Managing Trustee Deccan Heritage Trust told that some letters have also been displayed along with the photographs. The exhibition also displays a rare photograph of Nawab Mir Mahboob Ali Khan which actually shows the Asif Jahi ruler in disguise after a nightly visit to the city. The Nizam was known to disguise himself and go around his realm in the dark of the night to find out about the well being of the citizens of the kingdom. “Nizam VI was not called ‘Mahboob’ (the beloved) for nothing. He was genuinely loved by his subjects and he loved them in return. Not only did he ensure that peace and harmony prevailed in his reign, but he took immense care to ensure people’s welfare,” said Mohammed Safiullah.
The motive behind organising the exhibition is to make the new generation aware of the history and rule of Asif Jahi Sultanate. Thus the exhibition gives a glimpse into the life of the beloved ruler.
City dignitaries including Managing Director Shadan Institute of Medical Sciences and Dr. VRK Women’s Medical College, Dr. Sarib Rasool Khan visited the exhibition.
