Rape charges leveled against 64 YO activist probing criminal case involving UP CM Adityanath

Lucknow: Often we come across various charges leveled against activists only because they were probing some crucial evidence against an influential personality or a government official, political leader. No matter what charge is leveled against these public activists, the reality and facts behind such fake charges cases remain unchanged.

A similar event was forced upon an activist who was probing a criminal case against current UP CM Yogi since 2007 is now arrested allegedly for raping a woman, India today reported, India.com reported.

A 64-year-old Parvez Parvaz and another man Mahmood alias Jumman were arrested for allegedly raping a woman whose medical reports confirmed rape said Superintendent of Police (City) Vinay Singh.

The woman was allegedly assaulted when had gone to Junman for some treatment said the police officer.

Parvaz was arrested on Tuesday evening from a house in Nakhas area of Kotwali police and was remanded in judicial custody on Wednesday.

According to the sources, Parvez had lodged an FIR for allegedly promoting communal hatred among communities against Yogi now UP’s CM at Kotwali PS in Gorakhpur on January 27, 2007.

Meanwhile, Junman is on the run stated the police.

Back then in 2007, Parvaz had alleged that Adityanath’s “hate speech” had triggered several incidents of violence that day which continued for a few days.

Though the magisterial court took cognizance of the charge sheet against Yogi, the sessions court had set aside the order following which Parvaz had then moved the Allahabad High Court against the sessions court order.

After Allahabad HC dismissed his plea against sessions court order, he subsequently moved SC who sought UP government’s reply on Parvaz’s plea challenging dropping of 2007 Gorakhpur case involving Yogi Adityanath.
