Sambhal: Shocking incidents of exploitation of women are broadly coming to the fore as in yet another incident, a man who has already spent a month in jail in connection with a rape case and was out on bail has yet again raped a minor girl after the victim’s father failed to return the accused his borrowed money.
The incident occurred on May 5 in UP’s Sambhal district which falls under the Baniather police station, TN reports.
According to reports, the 23-year-old rape accused identified as Hari Prasad had barged into the victim’s house when she was alone at home. He had allegedly watched porn videos on mobile before raping the 17-year-old girl victim.
The police reports said: “The father of the minor girl stated that he had borrowed Rs 22,000 from the accused, and as he failed to repay the money, the accused raped his daughter”.
The accused, according to the Police, was earlier booked for raping a girl from the same village.
Convicted in the case, he was taken into custody in March but the rape victim later withdrew her allegations following which the accused was released out on bail.
