Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director General B Prasada Rao said that light fascinated civilization from time immemorial and transits disciplines of technology. Delivering a lecture on ‘wave theory of light interference and diffraction – a new hypothesis’ at the Jawaharlal Nehru technological University Kakinada (JNTUK) here today, he explained in detail the interference diffraction and its new hypothesis and illustrated how fringe pattern are formed by fluid film naturally adhering to the surface of the glass plate, lens, cellophane tape and polythene sheets. The DG also demonstrated how fluid films exist over liquids and gave crystal clear information about Quantum theory, photo electric theory, Raman effect and corpuscles light theory. The Vice-Chancellor of the University Dr G Tulasi Ram Das, while welcoming Dr Prasada Rao described him as a multi faceted genius, an eminent academician and research oriented personality. He has presented a research paper ‘ new life on life’ in Indian science congress and it was published in Italian optic journal, the VC added. Later the Vice-chancellor has honoured Mr Prasada Rao with a shawl and invited him to be a honorary professor in the Physics department of JNTUK Kakinada and conduct a workshop to enlighten the young faculty.
