Hyderabad, September 30: Hyderabad just can’t seem to get enough of Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra who were in the city on Wednesday to promote their film Anjaana Anjaani. The duo who visited Villa Marie College were, as expected, the cynosure of all eyes. And shouts of “We love you Ranbir” was proof of the Bollywood mania that prevails. The two were gung-ho as they talked about their film, Gerard Butler’s guest appearance and the fact that Anjaana releases a day after the Ayodhya verdict.
“It’s a boy-meets-girl under strange circumstances story. When they meet, the two actually want to commit suicide,” says Priyanka. Ranbir says that working with Piggy Chops was an “awesome” experience. “How can the experience of working with such a beautiful lady be anything else,” he says.
What many don’t know is that Piggy’s friend, Hollywood heartthrob Gerard Butler, makes a guest appearance in the film. “He visited us on the sets and wanted to be a part of a Bollywood film. So he did a guest appearance but it might have been edited,” says Priyanka. Is the release of the Robot, a cause for concern? “I have great respect for Rajini sir and we are waiting to watch it too. But ours is a simple film about a simple love story. If you don’t get tickets for Robot, please watch our film,” pleads Ranbir.
About the movie’s outcome following the Ayodhya verdict, Ranbir says, “It is a sensitive issue and more than being nervous, we want to encourage non-violence.” And if there’s one thing the two want during their visit, it is to dig in to some yummy Hyderabadi biryani and haleem.
