Mumbai, April 26: Bollywood chocolate boy Ranbir Kapoor presented Maria Islam with Rs 5 lakh for giving the most attention-getting closing line for Pepsi’s ad campaign — The Game.
After getting the gift check from the actor, Maria said, “I am very, very happy on winning the prize from Pepsi and doubly for getting it from the youth icon Ranbir Kapoor. This is an unbelievable experience.”
There were approximately 1.2 lakh individuals who cleared the three stages of the game and came near to the prize money, but Maria piped the remaining for the top prize giving the line “Loser Game Master… you gotta think faster… Aur bhi koi chunauti hai to le aao, par tab tak kehte raho… Youngistan ka wow!!!”
The actor said, “It was a very new and engaging concept for television. There were five parts and three levels, Maria hurdled every step successfully. I was lucky to be the part of the trendsetting thing that they started.”
Pepsi continued the ad-campaign during IPL’s third season and hence they planned to announce the victor on the concluding day of the cricket show.
When questioned, which group he supports in the final match, Ranbir answered, “I think Mumbai Indians will take the cup. I will support Mumbai Indians.”
